With SapiensAIP, insurers are now able to get agentic AI into production inside their core systems at speed and scale

London, United Kingdom, September 14, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today announced the launch of its AI–native Sapiens Autonomous Insurance Platform (SapiensAIP) – a modern, SaaS solution that helps insurers move from AI ambition to production with built in tools to embed AI in their core policy administration system (PAS).

SapiensAIP is a unified platform, built to extend Sapiens’ core insurance products and unlocks a full suite of agentic tools across underwriting, policy, billing, claims, and customer engagement. The platform is built on three layers: a persona-based experience layer, an intelligence layer where agentic flows do the work, and a foundation layer, based on Sapiens’ ontology of more than 40 years of industry experience.

This foundation gives every AI agent the context to reason like an insurer. It also grounds Sapiens’ dedicated data migration and configuration hubs. These hubs take requirements and legacy files and turn them into run-ready scripts and load-ready extracts that are mapped, proven and reversible, taking human effort out while retaining human oversight of any transformation.

“The AI future we have been talking about is here,” said Sapiens Executive Chairman and interim CEO Mike Ettling. “The architecture behind SapiensAIP is the clearest expression yet of what Sapiens has become: the global insurance technology champion built to power the modern autonomous insurer of tomorrow, with a continuously improving layer of intelligence. This is an advantage no legacy architecture retrofitted with AI can match.”

First SapiensAIP customer

Sapiens also announced Continental General (CG), an Austin, Texas-based Third-Party Administrator (TPA) serving multiple clients across life, annuity, and long-term care and stock life, accident and health insurance carrier is evaluating the AI tools as a means to be able to bring on books of business faster and more cost-effectively.

“SapiensAIP represents the kind of platform direction we want from our technology partners – AI that’s embedded in the core system, not bolted on. As a third-party administrator serving multiple carrier clients, Continental General needs tooling that can scale across programs and compress the timeline from contract to production. We’re putting the Configuration Hub and Migration Hub to work against real workflows, and the early direction is promising,” said Ayanna Burns, Chief Transformation Officer, Continental General.

Speeding up transformation

With legacy core transformation an ongoing challenge for insurers, SapiensAIP Migration Hub now speeds up lengthy transformations, mergers or acquisitions by safely handling four steps with agent swarms: profiling, mapping, validating, and extracting data. Legacy files are ingested exactly as they are, with no reformatting needed. The Migration Hub AI suggests how old data should map to the new system, providing a confidence score that customer subject matter experts review.

With SapiensAIP Configuration Hub, configuration stops being the project bottleneck and is now handled by AI in the background. It takes documents in any format and automatically maps them to the right field in any system. Its confidence mapping score means that teams can review and approve what moves forward. Every decision has an auditable trail.

“SapiensAIP is what turns AI ambition into results insurers can measure,” said Sapiens CEO Designate and Board member, Paul Wheeler. “The work we are doing with Continental General shows exactly this. For insurers, this means faster time to production, lower transformation risk and a return on investment in AI working in their core systems, right now.”

Leadership transition underpins Sapiens’ evolution into an AI-native insurance software company as Mike Ettling continues as Executive Chairman

London, United Kingdom, 30 July, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today announced a planned leadership transition that will see Paul Wheeler, a proven software executive and currently Sapiens Chief Financial Officer, take the helm as Chief Executive Officer. Mike Ettling, who has steered Sapiens as Executive Chairman and interim CEO, will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board and will support Wheeler as CEO Designate throughout the transition.

Over a 30-year career, Wheeler has led technology businesses across the globe, delivering significant growth, innovation and customer advocacy at scale. As a recognised leader and consistent value creator, he previously served as CFO at Operative and Trema, Senior Operating Partner at leading global technology investment firm Francisco Partners, Managing Director at ION Trading and Chief Operating Officer at Efront.

The appointment comes as Sapiens continues to accelerate its AI transformation, helping insurers unlock value by harnessing the power of autonomy. It follows a run of major milestones for the Company, including a significant minority investment from a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the launch of its Insurance Agentification programme, and the opening of its AI Customer Experience Lab at the new London headquarters in Holborn’s Space House.

The Clear Choice to Lead

Ettling has led Sapiens as interim CEO while also serving as Executive Chairman. Wheeler joined Sapiens as Chief Financial Officer in December 2025, together with Ettling, and the two have worked closely since then. Following an assessment of exceptional internal and external candidates, the Company has decided that Wheeler is uniquely positioned to lead Sapiens’ evolution.

Sapiens Executive Chairman and interim CEO Mike Ettling said, “I am delighted that Paul has agreed to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer. I have worked with Paul since the beginning of 2025, and as both a friend and a colleague, I can attest that he is the ideal person to take on the mantle of CEO. His commitment, depth of operational experience and warm manner are known to all of us who have worked with him already. His outstanding leadership background means he is the clear choice to lead Sapiens. I look forward to continuing to support him, and Sapiens, as Executive Chairman.”

“I am honoured by the Board’s confidence and by Mike’s continued partnership as we manage this transition together. Sapiens is entering an extraordinary period as an AI-native company powering the autonomous insurer of tomorrow. I look forward to building on the strong foundations that Mike and the team have put in place, and to seeing many of our customers at the Summit in October,” said Paul Wheeler, CEO Designate, Sapiens.

Sapiens Decision’s Arrow release puts 15 years of decisioning expertise into the product and makes governed decisions native to agentic AI

London, UK – July 1, 2026 – Sapiens today announced Arrow, a major release of Sapiens Decision that helps regulated organisations move faster from decision requirements to governed automation. Arrow ships as Sapiens Decision claims back-to-back analyst recognition: a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: AI Decisioning Platforms, Q2 2025, and a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Decision Intelligence Platforms, 2026.

Across insurance, lending, and other high-volume decision environments, organizations face growing pressure to modernize operations and adopt AI responsibly, without sacrificing the transparency, governance, and accountability that regulated businesses require. In these environments, every decision has to be both defensible and fast, and getting there has traditionally been slow, manual, and expert dependent.

The Arrow release is built for that reality.

“For years, the hardest part of decision intelligence wasn’t the technology – it was the methodology, and it had to be earned through years of practice,” said Rafael Goldberg, Head of Sapiens Decision. “Arrow puts that expertise into the product itself and lets our customers extend those governed decisions directly into agentic AI.”

At the core of the Arrow release is a significant advance in AI-assisted decision modelling. Where the previous ModelAI feature handled discrete snippets of natural language or code, Arrow ingests large, complex source documents – including policy documents and regulatory texts – and guides users through a dialogue-driven approach that replaces manual specification with iterative refinement. Arrow’s multi-agent architecture is trained on 15 years of real-world decisioning practice. It generates decision models from that conversation, dramatically compressing the time from requirements to deployable logic. Non-expert modellers now produce output of a quality that previously required years of specialized experience.

Getting decision logic into production has always involved three friction points: deploying it, routing it to the right transaction, and connecting it to downstream systems. Arrow removes all three. Decision App, a new module, lets customers operationalize a decision flow immediately through a lightweight, decision-driven application – putting capabilities like underwriting to work without custom development. Dynamic Flows automatically selects the correct decision logic based on transaction context, eliminating manual routing in multi-jurisdiction environments. Configurable Row Hit Events return structured, actionable findings to consuming systems at the point of decision, removing the post-processing step that typically delays integration.

Customers’ deployed decision logic is now available to every AI agent in their stack, governed, auditable, and ready without custom build. Arrow’s MCP-enabled decision services make governed decisioning a native capability in customers’ agentic workflows.

Arrow is the first release under a new framework for Sapiens Decision, one that pairs a unified version number with the name of an innovator whose foundational work others continue to build on. Arrow (2026-R1) honours Kenneth Arrow, the Nobel laureate whose impossibility theorem is foundational to decision theory and organizational economics. Future releases continue the series alphabetically.

A seasoned enterprise business leader joins to accelerate the growth and presence of Sapiens

London, United Kingdom, June 22, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today underscores its commitment to the Asia Pacific region with the appointment of Krish Datta as Executive Vice President, APAC. Krish joins with immediate effect and will lead Sapiens’ footprint in the region across its go-to-market strategy, customer growth, and regional operations.

The appointment follows a significant period of strategic acceleration for Sapiens, including a minority investment from a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the launch of its Insurance Agentification program, and the opening of its AI Customer Experience Lab at its new London headquarters in Holborn’s Space House. With APAC as a critical growth frontier, Krish’s mandate is to bring that vision to market across one of the world’s most diverse and fast-growing insurance landscapes.

A Proven Enterprise Platform Builder

With more than 35 years of enterprise software and platform leadership across Asia Pacific, Krish Datta is well-known in the region. He built SAP’s South-East Asian business to over $500 million in revenue, scaled Syniti’s APJ operation from inception to over 30 million annually and launched Credence.tech to achieve a significant cloud and sovereign platform within 18 months. His early career delivering core insurance platforms across life, general, and reinsurance at Apex Systems gives him domain depth that is rare at his level.

Sapiens’ agentification strategy – built on its Central Agentic Framework with capabilities across Agentic Claims, Agentic Underwriting, and Agentic Policy – is designed to move insurers from incremental automation to genuine autonomous intelligence. Krish brings direct board-level experience advising on AI decisioning platforms, giving Sapiens a sharper perspective on what insurers need to succeed.

Sapiens Executive Chairman and interim CEO Mike Ettling said, “Krish and I have worked together across some of the most demanding markets in enterprise software, and I have seen first-hand what he can build – bringing him to Sapiens to lead our APAC charge is one of the most important moves we are making as we take our agentic AI vision to insurers around the world.”

“Krish brings exactly the combination we need to accelerate in APAC: deep insurance technology roots, a track record of building enterprise platform businesses from the ground up, and a sharp instinct for where AI is taking the industry. He has seen the market from every angle – as a builder, as a dealmaker, and as an investor. I have no doubt he will drive significant growth and raise our profile across the region,” said James Hannay, Chief Revenue Officer, Sapiens.

“Insurance is one of the industries where agentic AI will create the most profound change – and Sapiens is the partner that understands both the technology and the domain at the depth required to make that change real. APAC is not a peripheral market in this story: it is a proving ground. I am excited to join Sapiens at a time when we can help insurers make faster decisions, respond to risk in real time, and become genuinely autonomous enterprises, while making digital transformation a reality,” added Krish Datta, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Sapiens.

Paul Hutchison appointed to lead Delivery Success and Michael Rieder joins as head of Customer Success

London, United Kingdom, June 11, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today announces two senior leadership appointments as part of a strategic organisational transformation designed to accelerate delivery excellence and strengthen customer outcomes at scale. Paul Hutchison joins Sapiens as Chief Delivery Success Officer (CDSO) and Michael Rieder as Chief Customer Success Officer (CCSO). These developments are in response to the rapid evolution of technology adoption in the insurance industry and Sapiens’ strategy to build a new suite of agentic AI products based on a single, governed insurance ontology.

For Sapiens’ customers, these new teams establish a clear structure around Delivery and Customer Success – a move designed to bring greater consistency, scalability, and accountability as the company scales its agentic AI platform across more than 600 insurers in over 30 countries.

Paul Hutchison’s Delivery Success function will include a Delivery Factory, Solution Architects, a Partner & Ecosystem Delivery team and teams of L&P, P&C and Reinsurance Experts. It will provide deep delivery excellence to customers, ensure adoption and create a scalable service model. Paul brings over 25 years experience scaling enterprise operations, modernizing digital ecosystems, and unlocking sustainable growth across industries including financial services, healthcare, retail, and technology.  His career includes senior delivery roles at BECU, IBM, E*Trade and Northgate Arinso and he holds a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. He joins Sapiens on 15 June.

Leading Customer Success, Michael Rieder will be responsible for all Customer Support, Customer Success Managers, Enablement, Customer Health Analytics, as well as building a Customer Community. Michael is a global executive with a proven track record of delivering customer success, revenue growth, margin expansion and transforming businesses in international environments. He joins the company from Finastra, where he was Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Payments business unit. Prior to that role, Michael had a long career in senior leadership roles at SAP, largely in Customer Success, Services and Support. He holds a Bachelors’ degree from FH Wiesbaden. Michael joins Sapiens later in the year.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul and Michael at a pivotal moment in Sapiens’ evolution,” said Mike Ettling, Executive Chairman and interim CEO. “Having established a global HQ in London and opened our first AI Customer Experience Lab, we want to ensure our teams are delivering value in a consistent way. With their vast experience, Paul and Michael will play defining roles in helping our customers navigate towards the goal of agile intelligence.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining Sapiens at a time when AI has the potential to radically improve how insurers deliver value to their customers,” added Paul Hutchison, CDSO, Sapiens. “By creating a unified suite of agentic AI products, we will give customers the assurance of consistency which also makes it easier to deliver solutions in a standardized, effective way.”

“Customer success is ever more important as insurers get to grips with the potential of AI,” concluded Michael Rieder, CCSO, Sapiens. “Ensuring AI tools integrate correctly with existing core systems and can rely on a single, governed insurance ontology requires careful planning, and this will be a key priority for the Customer Success team.”

London, United Kingdom, June 8, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today announces the appointment of Kellen Petersen as EVP Sales, Americas. Petersen brings more than 15 years of P&C and enterprise technology experience and a strong track record of building high-performance sales organizations to the role, joining Sapiens at a pivotal moment in its growth across the region.

In his new role, Petersen will lead sales across the Americas with end-to-end accountability for revenue growth and go-to-market execution. He will be responsible for shaping the regional sales strategy and leading a unified sales and pre-sales organization, ensuring strong alignment from pipeline creation through to deal close.

Petersen brings extensive GTM leadership to Sapiens, joining from KatRisk where he served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Sales. In that role, he oversaw the full sales cycle spanning pre-sales through close, with an emphasis on net new business, customer retention, and new product launches. He also played a key role in the successful integration of three acquisitions. Prior to KatRisk, Petersen held the position of Vice President of Risk Data Solutions at Swiss Re, where he drove new revenue growth across the U.S. and Canada. He has also held a senior sales leadership role at National General Insurance Company, an Allstate company.

“North American insurers are under real pressure to modernize core operations – not just bolt AI onto legacy systems. Most vendors sell point solutions. Sapiens is one of the few that can replatform an insurer end-to-end and layer agentic capability on top of that foundation. That’s a different conversation, and it’s the one I want to be having,” said Kellen Petersen.

Petersen is based in Washington, DC, and will report to James Hannay, Chief Revenue Officer, Sapiens.

Investment accompanies accelerated AI strategy for insurers and the opening of global AI Customer Experience Labs

  • Welcomes new investment from Abu Dhabi Investment Authority following acquisition by Advent last year
  • Accelerates its AI strategy for the insurance sector through the launch of its Insurance Agentification programme
  • Opens AI Customer Experience Lab in new London head office with a second to follow in the USA

London, United Kingdom, June 1st, 2026 – Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (“Sapiens” or “the Company”) today announces that a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”) has invested in Sapiens and become a significant minority shareholder in the Company. The investment marks a further step in Sapiens’ growth under Advent’s ownership and the acceleration of its AI strategy for the insurance sector.

Sapiens provides mission critical operating systems for over 600 insurance companies globally. Its software is built by industry experts with deep knowledge of insurance operations, as well as regulatory, compliance and security requirements. Sapiens’ agentic platforms help insurers automate the manual workflows surrounding these systems, improving execution efficiency and accuracy across policy underwriting, claims management, pricing & risk management, and billing.

Sapiens delivers work through its agentic product suite – including Agentic Claims, Agentic Underwriting, and Agentic Policy – built on the Central Agentic Framework, which connects insurers’ core systems to their AI strategy through a single, governed insurance ontology.

In addition, Sapiens moves its Company’s headquarters to central London. The new offices, located in Holborn’s Space House, reflect Sapiens’ growing focus on one of the world’s leading insurance markets. The office will serve not only as the company’s global headquarters, but also as an AI Customer Experience Lab, where insurers can work directly with Sapiens’ teams to explore and test AI applications tailored to the industry.

The location will also strengthen Sapiens’ ability to access and attract AI talent, as it continues to grow its forward deployment group, which is working with customers to deploy and scale agentic systems responsibly. Sapiens has also confirmed plans to open a second AI Customer Experience Lab in the US later this year, focused on the North American insurance markets.

“AI powered hyper-relevance is the new competitive advantage for insurers, and we are enabling this through agile intelligence and the ability to make decisions at the speed of thought. This will revolutionise how insurers compete, how they go to market, and ultimately, how they serve the people who buy their products. Our new offices are designed to deepen our collaboration with leading global insurance institutions at a time of enormous technological change for the industry,” said Mike Ettling, Executive Chairman and interim CEO, Sapiens.

“Insurers have a significant opportunity to improve customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability through the effective use of AI. Helping insurers capture this opportunity is Sapiens’ primary focus. Advent and ADIA are pleased to support Sapiens as it accelerates investment across its teams, products, and operating infrastructure, including the new London headquarters, to achieve this mission,” said Douglas Hallstrom, Managing Director, Advent.
